Neal was involved specifically in all timber aspects of construction projects, and during his career has worked in NZ, Australia, & USA before settling in the UK 25 years ago
For the past 16 years Neal has specialized in the flooring industry, most recently as CEO of a national flooring installation company with a multi-million pound turnover. Working in both domestic and commercial sectors, his experience spans from ‘hands on’ understanding and practicality drawn from a strong trade roots, through to top level sales, administration and operational management.
In this role he has written and run installer training courses, advised ‘best practice’ briefs on customer relations, presented quality control seminars, written specifications for many aspects of the flooring industry, and has long been an active proponent of Alternative Dispute Resolution through mediation
He is presently working toward full membership of the Expert Witness Institute, Fellowship of the Institute of Wood Science, and mediation accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
He is competent to act as a single joint expert under the 1998 Civil Procedure Rules.
He is a consultant member of the Contract Flooring Association
Neal Inwood trained and has worked in the timber sector of the construction industry for the past 35 years.
Educated in New Zealand at Pakuranga College, then MIT, he gained N.Z. Level 5 qualifications in Carpentry and Joinery, equivalent to UK City & Guilds HND
Further study was undertaken at Massey University, and in 2008 he was awarded certification in Business Development at Oxford Brookes University
